CHELSEA Blues stars have a hidden spring in their steps this season...after new boss Andre Villas-Boas slapped electrodes to their feet!
The Stamford Bridge squad are still getting used to Villas-Boas, 33, who has introduced a number of shock ideas after his arrival from Porto this summer.
And the players, including skipperJohn Terry, 31, and midfielderFrank Lampard, 33, have quickly discovered they won’t be able to put their feet up around the Portuguese supremo.
A team insider revealed: “The gaffer has brought fresh ideas in and everyone is keen to embrace them. The players were told to put their feet up but weren’t quite expecting the outcome.
“The electrodes were placed on various parts of the foot and it looked like something out of accident and emergency.
“The manager and his coaches wanted to analyse how much pressure each player is putting on his feet and how the impact of their running affects them.
“Most of the lads thought they were in for a pedicure but were instead strapped up to computer monitors. Some joked they could definitely feel a tingle and it might help them run a yard or two faster!”
