Since the signing of Van ver Vaart joining Spurs, we haven't been able to progress further than 5th. I fear the same for this season. Harry Redknapp has to adopt a 4-5-1 formation which I am not a fan of in order to play Van ver Vaart in the team. 4-5-1 never work well, it does not produce exciting football. Man City look awesome, playing a classic 4-4-2 formation with two exciting footballers in Aguero and Dzeko. Now Spurs has the opportunity to play 4-4-2 and play Adebayor and Defoe for once, we should progress up the table! Man United played 4-4-2 for years and won them several titles. So manager (especially you Redknapp) do not play the 4-5-1 and be boring like Chelsea!
